It’s that time of the year again where online players brace themselves for the Full Tilt Online Poker Series. Full Tilt celebrates this series on a quarterly basis, with 45 events of various formats on the offer. Even better, Full Tilt has added some new formats to the usual slue of tournaments, particularly the Multi-Entry Tournaments.
Ever Evolving
Full Tilt, the second largest poker network in the world, certainly takes evolution pretty seriously. It is a pretty tough industry, after all, and competition is always fierce. If you don’t move with the times, then you’ll quickly fall behind in this industry. Full Tilt’s answer to the need for change came in the face of the multi-entry tournaments. These tournaments rapidly became popular; so popular, in fact, that they decided to include nine of these into the first FTOPS this year. The most interesting of them is the Main Event, which features a buy in of $640 and a guaranteed prize pool of $3 million. This could possibly be a player’s door to stardom in the poker industry, so if you’re interested, just register for the tournament now. Who knows, you might even end up with the big win yourself?
Can’t Please Everyone
Of course, you can’t really please everyone. The FTOPS schedule is no doubt very impressive and a lot of people have already expressed much praise for it. But there were some who found the schedule ‘lacking’. Some formats have been removed and others added. Then again, it’s a given that some people will be pleased and some will be displeased. It’s the way of the world, after all. People would complain about World Peace if given the chance.
Even worse, some players have chosen to opt out of the FTOPS XIX’s grand opening because they’re going to be focusing on the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl, after all, is a once a year thing, and is arguably a lot more interesting than anything the FTOPS could possibly conjure. Still, there’s a $1 million prize pool to be won, so a lot of players will actually take the Super Bowl hype as an opportunity to increase their own chances of winning. It’s a pretty sound strategy, if you ask me. With all the others caught up in the festivities, it’s pretty unlikely that the field will be extra tough. Those who insist on doing both will probably be too distracted to enjoy either to the fullest. So my advice is to just choose one mistress this Sunday and stick to it.
