Voting for the British Poker Awards Has Started

If you’re a fan of the professional poker scene then you might want to head on over to your nearest computer connected to the internet and vote for your favorite poker player. A lot of professional poker players have performed well in this year’s tournaments and it’s time for the annual British Poker Awards.Ivey

There are a total of 13 awards to be handed out during the event and you can take part of it by voting online. The awards include Best Cash Player, Best Mixed Game Player, Best PLO Player, Best Tournament Player, Best Social Media User, Best Blogger, Best Online Player, Best Poker League, Best Poker Forum, Best Contribution to Poker, Poker Personality of the year, and of course, the Best International Award. As you can see not only is the awards looking for the best poker players on their respective categories, but there are also categories for bloggers, forums, and even one for non British players as well.

The Nominated Players

Deserving players were nominated based on their performance and you can see quite a good number of them. Jake Cody and Matt Perrins who have just won bracelets in this year’s WSOP are included on the list. Jake Cody is nominated for the Best Tournament Player award together with Chris Moorman, Richard Asby, James Dempsy, and Dave Shallow. Matt Perrins is nominated for the Best Mixed Game Player together with Richard Asby, James Dempsey. Phil Shaw, and John Kabbaj. Aside from the British players and miscellaneous awards, an award will be handed down to foreigner players as well such as Tom Dwan, Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Cates, Jason Mercer, Erik Seidel, Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier and Phil Ivey. You’ll see more names on the list as you check them out at the main site. Things will heat up as the nominees are pretty deserving of what they were nominated for. It will be an exciting event for this year’s British Poker Awards and you’ve got to take part in it by placing your vote on your favorite player.
