Tom Dwan has always been one of the best poker players in the world, especially when it comes to cash games. His style is pretty erratic, and people are more or less torn between calling him a genius or a total nutcase. He plays hands that seem like they make no sense, to the point that people have stopped trying to make explanations and are resigned to just saying, “he’s Tom Dwan, that’s why.” There simply is no rhyme to his reason when it comes to the felt, or is there? Mark the date, April 18 on your calendars because this is the day where we finally get to see Tom Dwan teaching other players how to play poker. He, alongside Patrik Antonius, another of the best cash game players in the world who also happens to be a good friend of his, will be teaching at expertinsight.com, a new coaching site developed by Brandon Adams, Full Tilt Pro and Harvard Professor. Patrik Antonius, as you probably know, is one of poker’s top earners, a former tennis player, and a model to boot.
Lessons from Patrik and Tom
Tom Dwan and Patrik Antonius are two of the three top cash game players in the whole world. These people have been involved in the biggest, most insane pots ever created in the history of poker – and more importantly, they’ve managed to stay afloat. The coaching session on April 18th will be a once in a lifetime chance to learn from these top pros – BUT, they won’t be available to just anyone. The sessions be an hour-long each, though what the content will be is still left unknown. But then, with Tom Dwan and Patrik Antonius at the helm, it’s sure to be worth your while. Unfortunately for everyone, though, these lessons will cost quite a bit, especially for Patrik Antonius. Brandon Adams said that Antonius has not yet committed to further sessions beyond the first one, so he’ll be putting a high price on the talented Finnish Poker Pro.
The Price to Pay
There isn’t actually a set price levied on the sessions yet, as Adams has decided to determine who attends the sessions through a bidding session on his Twitter account. It’s going to cost quite a bit since the starting bid is a whopping $3,000. Bidding will have to increase in increments of $100. What’s great, though, is that the proceeds – or majority of it, at least – will be going to the Morris Jeff Community School. Dwan and Antonius are only the first of slew of poker pros who will be giving poker lessons on Adams’ site.
