Doyle Brunson, the godfather of poker, may be one of the oldest geezers in the industry, but never let it be said that he’s behind the times. In fact, this guy’s practically a trendsetter. Thousands of fans follow him, especially his ever-so-interesting Twitter Account. Last week, the Texas Dolly posted a poll which asked some very interesting questions about the poker industry. Thousands responded, and the results were pretty interesting.

Positively Pleasing

The Texas Dolly posted three questions: (1)Which player would be best to sleep with, (2)which player would be the best to hang out with, and (3)Which player inspired thoughts of homicide. Of course, as interesting as these questions were, fans jumped at the opportunity to give there two cents. After having the votes tallied, Shannon Elizabeth turned out to be the answer to question number 1. Her role in American Pie no doubt engraved itself in the minds of the fans, as most of them stated her in their answers. At second place was Vanessa Rousso, followed by Jennifer Tilly. Of course, men weren’t the only ones who gave their votes. Girls were invited too, and their answers were pretty surprising. Gus Hansen got top place, followed by Patrik Antonius, and then Phil Ivey. Jennifer Tilly was, surprisingly, mentioned by both male and female players.

The player who won over the others in the second question was Phil Laak. He must give the friendliest vibe among the poker pros if he got so many votes. Either that or his reputation as a total daredevil must attract friends left and right. He was followed by Gavin Smith, then Daniel Negreanu.

So Much Negativity

Of course, if we had good awards, we also had one that was pretty iffy. The third question, “who inspires thoughts of homicide?”, was pretty interesting, though quite controversial. Unsurprisingly, it was Phil Hellmuth who topped this poll. He might be very talented, but then again, Hellmuth’s potty mouth and crazy antics do little to endear him to fans. Though, one must admit, he does make the game more interesting. Next to him, Russ Hamilton was named, no doubt by the many players he cheated on Ultimate Bet. Don’t let his nice old man appearance fool you.

This guy is a shark – and not the good kind either. Tony G got third place in this infamous poll. Apparently, his antics don’t amuse fans much either.
