A school can never be complete without teachers who specialize on several different subjects. Likewise, poker training sites can never be complete without having instructors that are well-versed on the different types of poker. This is why the addition of Andreas “Skjervoy” Tobergsen, PLO expert, to the roster of CardRunners Instructions, has been greeted quite enthusiastically in poker circles, especially among the students of the said site.
A Milestone in Andreas’ Career
Andreas “Skervoy” Torbergsen has had a career in poker that many others would simply die for. He has winnings that have reached seven figures on both Full Tilt and PokerStars. He plays at an extremely wide range of levels, from $2/$4 PLO Six Handed Tables to the intimidating $100/$200 Tables and he excels in them all. He’s truly and exceptional online poker player, which is certainly advantageous for the students of CardRunners, since online poker is where the money’s at in this day and age.
However, that’s not to say that Andreas “Skervoy “Torbergsen has not had a measure of success in the field of live poker. In 2008, he managed to finish in the money at the Main Event of the WSOP, reaching 551st place in a field of 6,844. He earned himself a pretty nifty $23,160. After that, he also played at the Norwegian Poker Championship and has had two cashes there. He stopped playing live, however, and simply focused on his online play. Right now, he’s set to become a red pro in Full Tilt because of his placement as a CardRunners instructor.
Well-received by CardRunners
Of course, with such a stellar reputation, Andreas “Skervoy” Torbergsen was well-received by the people at CardRunners. Taylor Caby, founder of CardRunners, has even said that Andreas is an “incredible PLO player” and went on to say how glad he is to have Andreas on board. Andreas will be making a set of videos which focus on high-stakes PLO. He even provided an interview about his story as a poker player, how he came from the small town of Skervoy in Norway, how his first exposure to the game was through his dad, and how he played with a bunch of friends weekly when he was 19, how he fared at the WSOP when he tried to play, and much much more. Indeed, he’s going to be a pretty great addition to CardRunners, which is already one of the best poker training sites today.
