Ladbrokes Poker
Full Review
Ladbrokes originally launched in the year 2000 as a part of the Ladbrokes Company which was originally founded way back in 1886. The poker platform used by thousands of Ladbrokes Poker players every single day is provided by the world renowned Microgaming Poker Network. Ladbrokes is an international online betting site, however, due to restrictions imposed by the United States Government in the passing of the UIGEA, United States poker play is not supported on the site.
Ladbrokes Poker VIP Scheme
Every poker player at Ladbrokes is instantly a member of the Ladbrokes Poker Club, which is the VIP Scheme offered by Ladbrokes. The VIP club consists of four tiers. To reach each tier, poker players must accumulate a pre-specified amount of poker club points. In example; every player begins their journey within the Poker Club as a Bronze level member, however, when a bronze level member earns 500 points, that member then becomes a silver level member. Once he or she accrues 3000 points or more, the player is moved up to the Gold level, and players with 10k or more points are VIP level members.
Some of the special perks offered to VIP club members include special invitation only freeroll events held on the 15th of each month. As players climb the VIP ladder, the field decreases, and the prize pool increases.
Gold and VIP level players are additionally able to opt-in to a 17.5% – 20% rake return made automatically each month.
These treats are in addition to bonuses, and tournaments the players qualify for dependant on their level in the club.
Promotions
New players at Ladbrokes Poker are invited to play a $500 freeroll that’s held every Wednesday at 18:30 UK Time.
Ladbrokes players are also invited to opt in to a monthly 20,000 cash race. Players only need to opt in one time, once a player has opted in, they’re signed up for the cash race every single month.
The cash race is held during the 2nd and 3rd weeks of every month. 3 players win their share of that 20k every single month.
In addition to those perks, Ladbrokes features monthly $150k and $250k guaranteed prize pool events, players can participate in satellite events throughout the month in effort to win a seat in these prestigious events.
Ladbrokes Poker Software
The online poker software found at Ladbrokes Poker can accurately be called simple. The software doesn’t offer scalable tables, however, players can choose between 3 different table sizes, which isn’t necessarily ideal for multi-tabling, but it does help.
Another hindrance when playing at several tables at one time is the lack of avatars. Ladbrokes doesn’t have a lot going on in the graphics department, and one of the things that’s missing are avatars that would normally help players easily recognize opponents and quickly recall reads they had deciphered from that player, the players playing style, and previous plays.
Hand histories are available, however, they’re not available from within the lobby as they are now with some of the other sites. Users wanting their hand history will need to view them in a separate Internet browser. The lobby does offer the ability to make player notes, and view some statistical information.
