Full Tilt Bonus Clearing Tips

Cash Games

Size of Tables Doesn’t Matter

Full Tilt recently changed the way they distribute Full Tilt Points at cash games.  Now every $0.10 raked at the table generates 1 Full Tilt Point for the table.  At the end of the hand the Full Tilt Points are then distributed among the number of players sitting at the table.  For example, if $0.90 is raked, 9 points will be distributed evenly among players dealt into the hand.  With this new method of Full Tilt Point allocation at cash games it is no longer an advantage to play 9 play cash games over shorthanded tables.

The only reason that 9-handed tables may still have a slight advantage over shorthanded tables is because the blinds hit you less which allows you to play tighter, which is now the only tip for cash game bonus clearing

Play Tight

The Full Tilt Points are awarded using the dealt method, which means you earn the same amount of points by folding as you do by contributing to the total rake.  By playing tight you will still accumulate the same amount of Full Tilt Points while protecting yourself against going broke before you have released your entire bonus.

Full Tilt Poker awards 10 Full Tilt Points for every $1 that is paid in tournament fees.  Your bonus is cleared at a rate of $0.04 for every 1 Full Tilt Point this amounts $0.40 cleared for every $1 that you pay in fees.  This is one of the better ratios you will find in online poker, so playing tournaments to clear your Full Tilt bonus is a strong option.

Play Super Turbo Sit and Go’s

Super turbo SNG’s are a lot of fun and they are very fast paced.  If you are trying to clear your Full Tilt Poker bonus quickly then these tournaments may be right for you.  You should just make sure that you play within your bankroll because the nature of super turbo SNG’s creates a very high variance which you need to be aware of.

Play Normal Sit and Go’s

Sit and go’s are better tournaments to play than multi-table tourneys because they are shorter and you are much less likely to go on a cold streak without cashing in several tournaments in a row.  Multi-table tourneys aren’t the best option when looking to clear your Full Tilt Poker bonus because even the best tournament players in the world could hit a cold streak and go broke before they are able to clear very much of their bonus.
