EuroPoker
EuroPoker – Full Review
EuroPoker is one of the top sites on the OnGame poker network, being both reliable and secure, with many years of experience behind them since their launch in 2005. Europoker ranks in the top 5 for traffic in the poker industry, with the vast amount of players found playing Texas Holdem. This is great for Holdem players but poses a challenge for players of other poker variations, such as Omaha. The software is fresh and user-friendly with the added benefit of working for Mac and Linux users through their instant download software. Players who sign up to Europoker through pokerbonus.org can also take advantage of a huge $1200 sign-up bonus, one of the biggest around. This sign-up bonus also has one of the highest release rates, allowing you to unlock it even faster.
Poker Bonus and VIP Scheme – (7/10)
Sign up and deposit through a pokerbonus.org link and get an exclusive 100% up to $1200 bonus.
Exclusive EuroPoker sign-up bonus code for pokerbonus.org players: THEGAME
Poker Bonus: EuroPoker offers a massive $1200 sign-up bonus on your first deposit ($100 minimum deposit). This sign-up bonus is released in 4 separate instalments. For example, if you deposit $1200 and unlock the full bonus then the bonus releases in 4 x $300 segments. The bonus unlocks $1 for every 10 player points earned. You earn 5 player points for each $1 in rake/tournament fees paid, so the sign-up bonus is equivalent to a massive 50% rakeback, which is one of the highest rates out of any poker sites online. From your first deposit you have 60 days to release as much of the bonus as you can, although it should be fairly easy to release the full amount.
EuroPoker offers extra bonuses as well, such as regular reload bonuses and a very generous refer-a-friend bonus. When you refer a friend to EuroPoker you both have the chance to win $100 each. If your friend deposits and earns 1000 player points within 60 days then you will both get $100 added to your accounts, a great extra bonus.
VIP Scheme: EuroPoker offers a moderately competitive VIP scheme which rewards you with regular cash prizes. To gain access to the VIP club you firstly have to generate a minimum of 500 Player Points per month ($100 rake). Once you are in the VIP scheme you will earn 1 VIP Credit (VC) for every Player Point earned. These VIP credits can be exchange for cash. The largest bonus you can purchase is $2000 which costs 36000 VCs ($7200 rake) which is equivalent to 28% rakeback. Furthermore, if you maintain your VIP level for 3 months in a row then you will receive additional quarterly VC rewards ranging from 500-2000 VCs.
Overall, the VIP scheme is not extremely competitive compared to other poker rooms in the industry. However, because the sign-up bonus is so good and unlocks at such at a high rate it is certainly worth playing at EuroPoker purely to take advantage of the sign-up bonus, since the VIP scheme and sign-up bonus together can be equivalent to over 70% rakeback, which is certainly competitive.
Promotions – (4/10)
EuroPoker has a few promotions including its sign-up bonus and refer-a-friend bonus but lacks anything major. Its only relatively good promotion is the $1000 freeroll every thursday at 18:45 (CET) which is a great way for new players to build up their bankroll.
Software – (6/10)
EuroPoker offers a very good software package that is definitely one of the best on the OnGame network and attempts to rival that of the biggest rooms in the poker industry. The software has an advanced interface with a 3D feel, which can be to either the like or dislike of the players. For example, players that particularly like the 3D feel of the PKR poker client should also enjoy the EuroPoker client.
The software offers many extra functions including real time statistics and the ability to colour and tag your opponents to note their play style (e.g. you could tag a player green if they are a new player and don’t know what they’re doing). The software is not perfect and the speed of the client might start to annoy many players with its longer than necessary wait times between actions. However, this can also play to the strength of others, with multi-tabling players possibly finding this a welcome moment to pause and recover.
Easy Competition – (6/10)
EuroPoker and the OnGame network is known for being particularly fishy with a fair amount of easy competition at the low stakes. At higher stakes the players get a big better, but there is always a constant stream of bad players on the network. The low stakes games have a extremely high percentage of players seeing the flop, leading to lots of action and the chance to take advantage of people playing bad hands out of position.
Support – (7/10)
EuroPoker has a number of support options for players with the addition of a number of new methods. Support options include:
Live Online Support (Visit EuroPoker)
E-mail Support (+46 8 505 13 501)
Telephone (support@europoker.com)
Skype Support (2pm – midnight CET)
Support is fast and typically provides very helpful replies.
Deposit and Withdrawal Options – (6/10)
A reasonable number of deposit and withdrawal options are available at EuroPoker, although they lack a number of the major options such as moneybookers.
Deposit Options: NETeller, Credit Card, FirePay, FPS Epassporte, Click to Pay and InstaCash.
